It’s starting to feel like summer

Summer is almost here and at Rustica Ornamentals we are gathering all of our garden goodies to be sold at all the local garden centers. Our first batch of artistic garden decor will be displayed at Stonehenge Landscaping in Newington Connecticut and at Bob’s fruit and vegetable stand on the Berlin turnpike also in Newington Connecticut.

We have a large selection of new summer items for the yard including an assortment of Accent Screens and some garden Spheres in a range of sizes (Very Cool!). We also have many new garden stakes including large flowers, Frogs, Dragonflies, Praying Mantis, Ferries, Mermaids and Fire Pits. If you do not see them on the website don’t worry they are coming!

The upcoming summer craft show season is approaching and we will be at the South Windsor Strawberry Festival Saturday June 12^th 2010, the Newington Extravaganza Saturday July 10^th 2010 and at this point we are looking at appearing at the 36^th annual Milford Oyster festival in Milford Connecticut on Saturday August 21, 2010. We will be more fairs but we are not sure witch ones yet, we will keep you posted!

Spring is almost here and at Rustica Ornamentals that means craft show season is about to start. We are now working on our 2010 schedule; the first show will be in Meriden Connecticut at the Daffodil festival. Please come see us there on April 24^th and 25^th.

At RusticaOrnamentals.com we are always working on creating new unique and
attractive garden and home décor that no one else offers. We are diligent
in creating beautiful yard and garden art that will enhance any yard.
Krista and her husband Chris the owners of Rustica Ornamentals enjoy making
art for their own yard and were sick of the cheap generic things sold in
stores, they wanted affordable garden art that worked in their yard that
blended in and accentuated their own gardens. We just love to make
beautiful thing that others enjoy.

We are now working on our Valentines Day and Easter decorations. We have
Red, light Pink and dark Pink hanging Hearts. You can buy one or a bunch.
You can hang them on a tree, hang them in your car or decorate your home
with them. We are also working on Heart magnets and Heart yard stakes. The
Heart garden stakes as Krista says are great she says they will be in her
yard!  As for the Easter décor we will have white fluffy Bunny Yard Stakes
and lots of unique indoor and outdoor décor some painted with pretty
pastels and some items will be rustic and natural. 

At Rustica Ornamentals we always try to create seasonal décor with the
essence of that season or holiday in mind. We like to create things that
will warm your soul and make you feel good. It is all about creating things
that beatifies and or reflect the season or event you are decorating for.

I happen to be against those giant inflatable snowmen and Santa jollies some folks place on their front lawns this time of year. Don’t worry. If you do that, I still like you! However, I think it’s always nice to see some alternatives, especially when they’re handmade in the US by a small business.

Rustica Ornamentals is one example of a company making tasteful Christmas art for your lawn. They just put their Christmas yard art online too! However, you can order just about anything you want if you go custom: home or wedding decor, car parts, yard art, hanging murals, props for stage, animal silhouettes, initials and names for the wall, signs, fence decorations and sculpture.

Krista, one of the owners, said, “We will basically design anything you can imagine or need from metal, copper, aluminum or tin — either from a drawing or an idea.” Most custom projects from Rustica Ornamentals take around a week to complete, but some larger projects may take longer. Plus, if you like an item you see online, but want to change the color, that may be possible if you contact Chris or Krista. You may also have items inscribed.

I’ve highlighted a few of my favorite Christmas pieces from Rustica Ornamentals in this post, but they have others too, including an angel, snowmen and a Christmas tree.

Another reason I prefer metal decor like this is that it doesn’t take up much room when you store it. And it’s recyclable, making it an eco-friendly choice over plastic decor destined for the landfill.
